Kevin + Katie's Indianapolis Wedding

We had a wonderful time at Kevin and Katie's wedding. Their beautiful ceremony was held at Meridian Street United Methodist Church and the reception was overlooking the city at the Skyline Club.

Here are a few favorite shots from the day. You can see more favorites on our facebook fan page.

Miss Georgia

does anyone see Marilyn Monroe in this picture... :)

ok so I was shooting around the other day with Georgia the beautiful little girl that I nanny for. She found a vent in the floor and happened to open it..in the meantime her skirt fluffs in the air coming from below. She was very confused by this and knelt down to close it, which she accomplished, and her skirt floated down by her side. Liza, her mom, proceeded to open it again and up goes her skirt. SO ADORABLE! I just kept snapping, I LOVE HER!

{ Alyssa + Ben }

I hate rain..I hate rain...i hate rain...I LOVE RAIN!!!!!!!!

Rachel and I were wary of the weather all day, but we all decided to give it a go. We did about half of a session when it started pouring..

being at the IMA there were several other photographers around who all scattered..some even sprinted to their cars...then there was linnealiz.. I just stood there and kept shooting. I strapped a plastic bag around my camera and went crazy. I have been wanting to do a shoot in the rain for so long. Here are a few of my favorites :)

THANK YOU Ben and Alyssa for being troopers, as we were all dripping as we left the IMA...session to be continued...

with Love,
Sarah Liz

{ Danielle + Adam }

Gorgeous Gorgeous Gorgeous wedding on Friday. The Inn at St. John's in Plymouth, Michigan is an unbelievable venue! Danielle is a good friend of Rachel's. She (as in Rachel Linnea) was a beautiful bridesmaid as I ( Sarah Liz) ran around a crazy mess capturing every gorgeous detail Danielle had been planning for a year and a half.

As promised. a few favorites and of course pretty Rachel..I couldnt help myself, I just love her!

Be sure to check the facebook page in the next few days for the entire sneak peak!

A beautiful Farm Wedding!

Like I mentioned before, it's been a productive week! I guess it's a bonus when your husband works all the time!

Sarah and I shot an absolutely gorgeous wedding this past May in Ohio. The wedding ceremony was held at the bride's parent's house. With tons of property, a wheat field and a cool barn.. Sarah and I were in heaven. These types of locations are my absolute favorite. Check out their album design below:

Me in a white dress :)

There are so many things that go into a wedding. A dress, flowers, bridesmaid dresses, ceremony and reception venues... and the further you get into planning the more details to think about. What to tie the bouquets with?What shoes to wear? What gifts to give? It felt never ending. BUT! All the planning was for a reason. Although, it seemed to take forever for "that reason" to arrive, on July 17 I became Rachel Linnea Lank!

The flowers arrived, my dress fit, groom and groomsmen showed up.. ahh.. :) It was wonderful!

I'm sure many of you saw the sneak-peek on facebook only a couple days after my wedding. If not, now's your chance!

Here are a few of my favorites from the wonderful Sarah Liz and Jer:

Ceremony + Reception location: The Greencrest Manor Bed and Breakfast

Much love,

Guest books!

Guestbooks are a great way to remember everyone who was at your wedding- they look a little something like this...

LAME...it will sit in a closet and you will never open it again..

how about you check this out! Gives you a chance to brag about your awesome engagement pictures AND people will not only sign, but will write notes to you on the big day. It turns from a closet book to a coffee table book. Totally cool if you ask me.

Here is our latest design. Enjoy!

I confess!

So here's the thing. Clearly LinneaLiz is 100% horrible at blogging. We love to facebook, well I love to facebook maybe a little too much according to Sarah ;)
To all of our followers, sorry for being so delayed and inconsistent with our blog posts. Sarah and I have had many discussions on how we need to "be better bloggers" but to me, it's like twitter. I get on twitter for 2 days and then disappear for 2 months.

Lets get to the point.
Our goal in mind for the next couple months = Blog!

If that fails (crossing my fingers that I won't disappoint!) check our facebook fan page. I'm too much of a facebook fanatic to ever leave it alone!

Oh. And one last thing. I'm getting married in 4 days. YES! HOORAY! The wonderful Sarah Liz will be photographing my wedding. I call her the "walking bridesmaid with a camera" ;) LOVE YOU SARAH!

Much love,
Rachel Linnea

{Jeannie + Markus}

Sarah and I traveled to downtown Chicago on New Years Day for Markus and Jeannie's big day. Although the wind chill was -8 they were brave enough to tackle the windy city for outdoor pictures. Their wedding day was perfect and they planned the entire thing in just two weeks. Yes, you heard me right. Two weeks! I think I need to hire Jeannie as my wedding planner ;)
The day started in a gorgeous condominium overlooking the city and ended at the Penthouse Ballroom at Hotel 71.
(You may recognize the penthouse as Bruce Wayne's apartment from The Dark Knight. Yah! How cool!)

{Alison + Joe}

Ok...let's talk about high school sweethearts. Alison and Joe have known each other since first grade. How I know that is because I also have known them since first grade.

They pretty much are made for each other, although both of them I'm sure never felt that way back when we all had cooties.

I mean look at them!

I grew up hanging out in Joe's basement and in Alison's pool. We all had a blast together and it is such a blessing to be shooting a wedding for a couple that I know so well...and are so photogenic!

Love you guys!

It's a love/hate relationship with Bakerella

I'm in love with Bakerella. This website makes you feel like you're an artist in the kitchen and have the ability and creativity to do just about anything with a bit of sugar. It looks that easy.

First, I thought for sure I could make wedding pops for my own wedding. Easy Breezy. How hard could it be? Two cookie cutters, frosting, a small heart confetti topper. easy peazy, right? hah. Right...
I would like to meet this cooking bakerella. She's like Martha Stewart. Martha makes every craft look she could do it in her sleep. Who are we kidding. Martha has a crew she hires for craft bearing assistance.

To practice my wedding cake pops I decided to make cake turkeys for Thanksgiving. And because I was inspired and in the cooking spirit, shopping for all of my cake-goodies, why not go ahead and buy the necessary items for my Christmas reindeer pops in the same shopping trip. At this point I'm apparently a cake-pop making guru.

And look! Those turkeys have those simple sweet heart shaped mouths. Just like the wedding cake-pops. What a coincidence. (PS. No one can ever find heart confetti in real life)

In two hours I think I made two turkeys. Those turkeys didn't end up looking like *her* turkeys. ugh -- ;lkajsdf;lkdiej (frustration!). By morning, the turkeys were toast. Dead. They fell apart :( No worries, I ate the cake (which was delicious!) but screw you bakerella! I wish I had your mad skills.

Those sweet, sweet cake pops are deadly. I will make a good looking cake pop someday. Underneath this frustration I'm really jealous (as if you couldn't tell :) Tips on making good cake pops anyone? If you've never made a cake pop, check out bakerella and you'll be tempted. Just like I was/still am.

With love,
Rachel Linnea

{Costa Rica}

I just spent an amazing week in Costa Rica. We stayed in a small town called Tamarindo, over on the pacific coast. We spent the week sipping on Pina Colada's and laying by the pool. One day we went into Nicaragua where we saw the beautiful city of Granada, which looked a lot like New Orleans! Beautiful Architecture! We also stood at the mouth of the Masaya volcano which was an absolutely incredible site. What a beautiful country! Here are a few of my attempts at scenery pictures!
